Antoine Preziuso, is a long standing member of The AHCI. He has been awarded the Grand Prix de Horlogrie de Geneve on multiple occasions.
1. Describe briefly your childhood.
My childhood was a happy one, it was spent in an neighbourhood of Geneva that is between Lake Leman and the river Rhone.
2. As a child, did you have any driving ambition?
As a child, I dreamed of archaeology, of becoming an aircraft pilote.
3. What is your first significant memory as a child?
It is when I received my first bike, which granted me freedom.
4. Have you ever had another profession?
I have always had the same profession.
5. What made you decide to go in the direction you are currently on?
I always loved miniatures, the detail and also mechanical aspect and watchmaking combines all these qualities.
6. What’s the worst job you’ve had to do?
Change a battery in a watch
7. What’s been the hardest moment in your life so far, and how did you overcome it?
The loss of my parents.
8. Who has had the strongest influence on you?
I don’t feel like I was influenced, because I’ve always followed my own path sometimes even to the detriment of a commercial or marketing logic. However, in my watchmaking profession, I was inspired by the work of great independent watchmakers of the time.
9. What are you most proud of?
My family and my lastest watch, which I created with my son.
10. What advice would you give to a 20 something someone thinking of taking a similar path as you?
Believe in yourself and give yourself the means to meet the goals you have set, with patience and perseverance.
11. Name three things on your bucket list.

12. Where do you think the industry is going to be in 10 years?
I see it very positively; it is an industry / career that will always evolve.
